Our green-keepers are continually striving to improve the golf course and any planned works or alterations will appear here first.
Ian Hatch (Course manager) & John Mather (Head green-keeper) have a wealth of knowledge and experience and have done an amazing job in ensuring that our greens are some of the best in the region. As a team they work along with Paul Williams, the elected Head of Greens, to ensure that when you visit the course it will be in as good condition as possible.
As the golf club is situated in the heart of the New Forest National Park and with New Forest ponies free to roam, our green-keepers face slightly different problems to their conterparts at different courses. All works undertaken at the club are done alongside the need to preserve the “special” feel of the course which is sympathetic to both the wildlife and surrounding countryside. We work closely with Natural England and local forest organisations to ensure that the course is not only in superb condition all year round but also keeps the natural and special feel of the New Forest.
