NEW FOREST GOLF CLUB – COURSE USAGE DURING COVID-19

To access the course a player must:

  • Not have been out of the Country for the past 14 days
  • Not be in self isolation
  • Not be displaying Covid-19 symptoms, or been in contact with someone with any symptoms
  • MUST have a pre-booked tee-time

BOOKING AND ARRIVAL

  • Booking a tee-time is essential, via BRS Portal or by phone during office hours 02380 282484
  • Please leave tee-times between 8-10am, on Tuesdays and Thursdays free for our Senior Section
  • Park 2m away from any other car in the car park
  • Maintain social distancing at all times social distancing
  • All golfers must make themselves familiar with our conditions of play
  • Golf equipment should be washed before a player leaves home
  • Golfers should travel to the course alone, or with members of the same household only
  • Arrival at the course no more than 20 minutes prior to your reserved tee time
  • Change footwear and arrange golf attire in the car park
  • Clubhouse, locker rooms and toilet facilities will be closed
  • Please bring your own hand sanitiser to the course and use regularly

PRO SHOP AND STUDIO

These will remain closed until further review by Club Council and subject to the government’s guidance

OFFICE

No access inside; if you wish to speak to a staff member, please knock the door, stand back and wait

TO THE FIRST TEE

  • Play is restricted to single players or 2 balls only at 8 minute intervals
  • Arrive no more than 5 minutes before start time
  • Putting green is open but limited to 2 players and with no pins
  • Observe social distancing rules and enter 1st tee area when the group ahead have played their shots and have cleared the tee
  • Do not tee off before your designated time, to ensure group spacing
  • Any player(s) not following directions may be asked to leave the course

ON THE COURSE

  • Physical distancing should be observed at all times, particularly on tees and greens
  • Ball washers will be covered over and not in use
  • Bunker rakes have been removed, players should smooth sand over with their feet or club
  • Flagsticks must remain in the holes and MUST not be touched
  • Hole cups inverted for simple ball retrieval
  • Any putt within 3 feet of the hole should be a gimme
  • Lost balls should be played from where you think it is lost with penalty
  • Once a hole has been completed the group in front MUST have exited the tee area before you progress to the next hole
  • Players must not pick up or touch another players equipment
  • Players must refrain from handshakes
  • Greenkeepers will be working early morning, please give them respect and space

AFTER GOLF & GETTING HOME

  • Post round players MUST return straight to their cars with their golf equipment
  • Clubhouse, locker room and toilet facilities will remain closed
  • Please leave the course facilities within 20 minutes of completing your round
  • Ensure that clubs are cleaned thoroughly after use
  • Players must call or email the office with any post round health issues, or Covid-19 related symptoms, at the earliest opportunity
