COURSE 1: WEDNESDAYS – 5.00 pm to 7.00 pm – APRIL 8, 15, 22 – £80pp

COURSE 2: SATURDAYS – 11am to 1pm – APRIL, 11, 18 & 25 – £80pp

Learn the fundamentals of golf with our Pro, Michael Lord, on our popular Women’s Golf Academy.

New Forest Golf Club is the perfect place to begin your golfing journey and we are also signed up to the England Golf ‘Women’s Golf Charter’.

Perhaps learning to play golf has been on your agenda for a while – but you just haven’t got around to taking that first step. We realise this may be the case for many women, so the aim of this program is to remove those first few hurdles.

The academy is also perfect for women who have had a long break from the game and would like some help to get back out on the golf course.

FAQ

EACH GROUP IS LIMITED TO EIGHT PLAYERS AND INCLUDES:

  • Six hours of group tuition
  • Four weeks Twilight Membership
  • Mentor support from our existing ladies’ team
  • Free use of our clubs
  • One academy competition and presentation day

Your course will run for two hours a week over a three-week period.

Each session will introduce you to the most important elements of the game and give you enough knowledge and confidence to get out on the course and play.

You will be taught in our state-of-the-art studio and out on the golf course. At the end of your trial membership you will have the option of signing up for a ‘pathway’ membership which entitles you to play after 3.30pm 7 days a week and (by invite only) with our Ladies Section on Wednesday mornings and Sunday afternoons. Pathway membership also includes a credit towards coaching.

The aim of the lessons is to build your skills enough to play on the course. Coaching will take place both inside our studio and on the course.

Our Pro will go through all the basics, including:

  • Types of clubs
  • Gripping the club
  • Putting
  • Chipping
  • Driving
  • Scoring
  • Etiquette

Each week you will also receive some reading material and references to help evolve your skills and knowledge even more.

No. We have clubs you can borrow. All you need to bring is your desire to learn.

The purpose of the Women in Golf Charter is:

  • To encourage women and girls to play golf and join clubs
  • To inspire families to enjoy the game as a leisure activity
  • To increase opportunities for women to work within the golf sector.
