The Men’s 2018/19 Sunday competition winter season completed the year with the Vaughan Autumn Cup played between the Presidents team and the Captains team. Usually this consists of the playing partners splitting up and playing match play in pairs against their normal partners. This was then followed a week or two later by the Christmas Give and take where players each bring a prize and the man with the highest score gets to pick their prize first. Everyone’s a winner.

The Men’s 2018 Sunday competition summer season continued on 3rd June with Captains Day. A prize table was provided by the Captain and he also chose the format of the day. His choice was a medal with a difference. No putters allowed! Ricky Jeal was ably helped by his vice captain Richard Holland driving around the course with refreshments for the players. It was also the captain and his wife’s wedding anniversary and Ricky gave her a big bouquet of flowers.
